🎶 Caroling, but string instrument style! Western Oaks Middle School 8th Grade Orchestra went caroling in the District right before winter break to spread some holiday cheer. 🎻 We always love when they stop by the Admin building! 🎄
🚌 Our bus drivers are AMAZING! 🤩 Many of them took their own time and money to decorate their buses for the holidays and they looked great. 🎄 The PCESP had a fun contest and the winners seen in the photo got gift cards! Thank you, Transportation, for going above and beyond for our Putnam City students and families! 💛
The Second Grade teachers of Coronado Heights Elementary turned desks into destinations and curiosity into passports as they took imaginary flights to Mexico, Israel, and England for the Holidays! At each country, they had the best time discovering Holiday traditions around the globe and making crafts that represent those traditions! #HolidayHappenings 🎄
From Panther to Trojan, Shelby Ellis has officially signed to play golf for Seminole State College Oklahoma Athletics! We are PC Proud of Shelby and can't wait to cheer her on through college and beyond. ⛳️
🎻🎺 Orchestra and Band students from all three high schools are traveling to London over winter break to perform at the London New Year Day Parade and Festival! Last night, all three orchestras performed a beautiful send-off concert for their supporters.
2️⃣ This will be the 2nd time that Putnam City Schools has been personally invited by the Lord Mayor to perform in London!
🎷 Band will perform in the parade, which will be broadcast live on PBS.
🎶 Orchestra will perform on stage at the St. John's Smith Square on January 2nd.
🤩 We are so proud of our talented, tenacious, and pioneering musicians, their directors, and our community for representing Putnam City in such a big way!

We stopped by the Putnam City High School Orchestras concert last night because they had a special guest singer, Superintendent Dr. Rhodes! 🤩 🎻 He sang a special song with lyrics by Putnam City's very own, Kathlyn Reynolds. Did you know we have a Singing Superintendent? 🎤
🏀 Some Will Rogers Wranglers had an extra special guest read to them today! They were so excited to welcome Cason Wallace from the Oklahoma City Thunder, listen to "How The Grinch Stole Christmas," and then ask him some great questions. Did you know he played the saxophone in school? 🎷 How cool!

🧶What started as a simple community service project has grown into a creative collaboration between the PCN Crochet Club and PCN FCCLA. These students are hard at work crafting sustainable "plarn" blankets that will be donated to the City Of Warr Acres Police Department to benefit local homeless individuals just in time for the cold weather to set in. 📺 Check out their full story this evening on KOCO 5 News and FOX25!

The Oklahoma City Thunder Rolling Thunder Book Bus made a stop at D. D. Kirkland Early Childhood Center with a couple special guests, Tre Mann and Aleksej Pokusevski! Students were able to visit the bus, talk to the players, give (very tall) high fives, and pick out a book to keep from the bus! 📖🏀🚌 Thank you for visiting!
Elementary students from around the District gathered together at Putnam City High School today for the Stars of the Future event! In every direction, one could hear the sights and sounds of determination, encouragement, fun, and creativity. These kids will change the world someday!
