
Wiley Post Elementary had a few esteemed guests today for their Early Beat Assembly! Colonel Ruscetta from Tinker Air Force Base presented Wiley Post and Mayor David Holt with signed lithographs from the U.S. Navy Blue Angels. Also, Putnam City Luminary, Early Beat founder, writer and original recording artist of the Wiley Post school song, Kathlyn Reynolds, led the entire school in an emotional singing of "Wiley Post is Flying High." 🎶





Putnam City High School had the best time hosting the Oklahoma FCCLA South District 3 STAR event today! Putnam City North, Putnam City West, and numerous high schools from surrounding areas were able to participate. Here's to the next generation of leaders and innovators as they continue to showcase their talents, skills, and dedication.🤩♥️







The Baseball players at Putnam City West are stepping up to the plate with more confidence this season due to a gland slam donation! Putnam City District Alumnus, Andrew Heaney from the Texas Rangers, dropped off new cleats today, and the athletes are so excited to break them in.⚾️

Amber is Hefner's newest staff member certified in pawsitive vibes and providing comfort and support to our incredible Vikings. Have you ever seen lions fly? We haven't either. But, we did see some Lake Park Elementary Lions make their homemade bottle rockets fly! Students got to learn all types of STEM concepts with this engaging activity, not to mention just the fun of counting down to their own rocket launch! 🚀

Cuteness Alert! 🥰 The Putnam City Academy - PCA had some little trick-or-treaters visit last week and they left with no shortage of sweet treats! 🎃 We can't wait to see all of the Halloween costumes this week across the District.




Putnam City North High School DECA put on a one-of-a-kind fashion show this week - "50 Shades of Pink." This fashion show had a little bit of everything mixed with a whole lot of fun and cheering!






The 11th annual PCH and PCW JROTC march and push-up contest was a textbook display of spirit, camaraderie, grit, and competition. PCH Air Force JROTC Cadets marched in formation from PCH to the Bethany Fire Department, where they met up with PCW Army JROTC Cadets for a high-stakes push-up contest, before the PCW Cadets marched from there to PCW. PCH JROTC took home the push-up contest win, breaking PCW's 2-year streak.






Turn the music UP ⬆️ Apollo Elementary School 1st grade Eagles did just that by making their own iPad speakers out of cups and cardboard rolls in STEM. 🎶🔊





PC Alumni Going Boldly - Are you keeping up with MLB? If so, then you've probably seen Andrew Heaney with the Texas Rangers! ⚾️ Andrew is a 2009 grad from Putnam City High School and also attended Rollingwood Elementary and James L. Capps Middle School. The Rangers won the ALCS championship and are moving on to the World Series. Way to go Andrew! You make us #PCproud! #GoBoldly

Tanner Wood, Putnam City High School Senior, has been selected for All-State Cheer! Tanner is the first male cheerleader from PCO to make the All-State Cheer team and is the first cheerleader in Putnam City since 2016! Way to represent Putnam City, Tanner!


Our amazing teachers and staff participated in the Putnam City Teaching & Learning Conference for today's professional development day. 📚 These dedicated professional educators, leaders, mentors, lifelong learners, and superheroes acquired many valuable new skills and lessons today that they'll use to teach their students tomorrow. ✏️








2nd grade students in Ms. Blevins' class at Coronado Heights Elementary - Putnam City recently read the story of Pumpkin Jack and now they get to watch a pumpkin decompose! 🎃 It is exciting to see the students learn and use new vocabulary as they examine the pumpkin's progress.






With no shortage of spirit on either side, the Pirates took home the Battle of the Expressway win for the 2nd year over the Panthers! Final score: 56-20. 🏴☠️🐾
