🧶What started as a simple community service project has grown into a creative collaboration between the PCN Crochet Club and PCN FCCLA. These students are hard at work crafting sustainable "plarn" blankets that will be donated to the City Of Warr Acres Police Department to benefit local homeless individuals just in time for the cold weather to set in. 📺 Check out their full story this evening on KOCO 5 News and FOX25!







The Putnam City High School 12 Days of Christmas Assembly was a well-coordinated mix of holiday cheer, inside jokes, and spirited chaos that only the Pirates can pull off from year to year.

The Oklahoma City Thunder Rolling Thunder Book Bus made a stop at D. D. Kirkland Early Childhood Center with a couple special guests, Tre Mann and Aleksej Pokusevski! Students were able to visit the bus, talk to the players, give (very tall) high fives, and pick out a book to keep from the bus! 📖🏀🚌 Thank you for visiting!






Elementary students from around the District gathered together at Putnam City High School today for the Stars of the Future event! In every direction, one could hear the sights and sounds of determination, encouragement, fun, and creativity. These kids will change the world someday!






🏃Dr. Cooper, the “Father of Aerobics” and namesake of Kenneth Cooper Middle School celebrated the world premiere of his new life documentary, “The Power of Prevention,” at the George Bush Presidential Center in Dallas.
✏️Superintendent Dr. Rhodes and Director of Communications AJ Graffeo had the honor of attending the premiere representing Putnam City Schools, where Dr. Cooper says the foundation was laid for him to love the sciences and eventually change how the world views aerobics.

At Native American Heritage Night, family and friends were able to immerse themselves in the vibrant traditions of tribal dances, regalia, and explore the wealth of resources that Oklahoma City has to offer. Wiley Post Elementary had a few esteemed guests today for their Early Beat Assembly! Colonel Ruscetta from Tinker Air Force Base presented Wiley Post and Mayor David Holt with signed lithographs from the U.S. Navy Blue Angels. Also, Putnam City Luminary, Early Beat founder, writer and original recording artist of the Wiley Post school song, Kathlyn Reynolds, led the entire school in an emotional singing of "Wiley Post is Flying High." 🎶





Putnam City High School had the best time hosting the Oklahoma FCCLA South District 3 STAR event today! Putnam City North, Putnam City West, and numerous high schools from surrounding areas were able to participate. Here's to the next generation of leaders and innovators as they continue to showcase their talents, skills, and dedication.🤩♥️







The Baseball players at Putnam City West are stepping up to the plate with more confidence this season due to a gland slam donation! Putnam City District Alumnus, Andrew Heaney from the Texas Rangers, dropped off new cleats today, and the athletes are so excited to break them in.⚾️

Amber is Hefner's newest staff member certified in pawsitive vibes and providing comfort and support to our incredible Vikings. Have you ever seen lions fly? We haven't either. But, we did see some Lake Park Elementary Lions make their homemade bottle rockets fly! Students got to learn all types of STEM concepts with this engaging activity, not to mention just the fun of counting down to their own rocket launch! 🚀
