Once a Blue Angel, always a Blue Angel! Wiley Post Elementary is 50 years old and we celebrated big today with former Wiley Post educators and students, including Mayor David Holt and 1982 Oklahoma Teacher of the Year, Kathlyn Reynolds. What a fun event!

Showcasing the beat of Native American culture, the Putnam City Native American Student Services Powwow was a vibrant celebration filled with spirited music, captivating dances, and honorable tradition. It was a beautiful experience for all ages and backgrounds to come together and dance around the drum.

Putnam City High School held their annual assembly for Mr. and Miss. Pirateer, initiatian for new StuCo members, athletics awards, and many other recognitions for students. Congratulations Miss. Pirateer, Ally Khrais, and Mr. Pirateer, Joseph Cervantes, for outstanding contributions to Putnam City High School and the class of 2023.

On your mark, get set, have some fun! Putnam City High School hosted the District Elementary Track Meet this week where kids from elementary schools across the District competed for fun and raced toward victory. From relays to shot put, to the tug of war, everyone had a blast participating, cheering, and showcasing positive spirits and great determination.🌟

We escaped the rain and caught up with students and teachers at the Putnam City Academy today! The rain definitely didn't dampen their creativity as we saw students working on everything from fashion design to crocheting, painting to even cooking. We can't wait to come back and try out some of those chicken fajitas 😉 #GoBoldly

Celebrating a tea-riffic year, the Leading Ladies of Hilldale Elementary attended their first-ever fancy tea party! 🫖 Teachers and Leading Ladies Sponsors, Ms. Banks and Ms. Baker, created this club for students to learn etiquette, practice self-care, and form new friendships. After working hard and having fun all year, a tea party was the perfect excuse for the Leading Ladies to dress up and feel fancy in order to celebrate and demonstrate their new skills.

Who knew that a cake made with beets could taste so sweet! Sodexo at Putnam City Schools Child Nutrition brought back another original recipe, Beetnik Cake, and it was served at all the schools on Friday. Social media exclusive secret... a lot of the kids said it was just a brownie. Should we tell them about the veggies inside? 😜

Running for research, the 14th annual Putnam City Cancer Classic was a fantastic community event! Runners of all ages came together to raise money for OMRF, fighting cancer with each step. Thank you to our participating students, teachers and staff, and administrators from across the district, Sodexo, and all of our community participants!

In a Race for the Cure, Putnam City High School went full speed during Cancer Carnival Week raising $15,862.53 for OMRF! What a great week, Pirates! Way to make an impact.

Making their mark, Hefner Middle School StuCo students chalked up the sidewalks full of motivation for their classmates to do their very best on state tests. Good luck, Vikings, and great job, StuCo!
